is registrated as a voluntary civic organisation and it associates psychologists of the Czech Republic on the principle of choice.
By its scientific activities the Society enhances the development of psychology as a field and as a profession and it contributes to the increase of the members' scientific level and the knowledge of those who are interested in the field. It comments on the scientific level of psychological journals and publications and watches over the application of ethical principles in psychological practice (Code of Ethics).
The Society represents its member during negotiations with institutions in the Czech Republic and abroad and it expresses its opinion on questions of general interest.
Four times a year, the Society publishes 1300 copies of its own bulletin, that serves as an overwiew of various psychological projects contributing to the further education and mutual exchange of ideas among psychologists and the broader public. It helps psychologists to express their opinion concerning the outstanding questions of both their field and public life.
Four times a year, the Society publishes electronic scientific journal E-psychologie is an whose intended readers include all interested in psychology. In the journal original articles representing both research and practical experience, reviews, reports from interesting events and book reviews are published. The journal also provides space for professional discussion about current topics. It is freely available to all readers.
The Czech-Moravian Psychological Society is a regular member of IUPsyS.
